Do you want to help New Zealand's' Agricultural industry thrive? Our programme will offer you the opportunity to become part of a business which has a proven track record of turning passionate graduates into outstanding Agribusiness professionals.

As a Graduate, you'll be matched with BNZ's best Agribusiness mentors in an on-the-job training programme which is supplemented by specific Relationship Management, Credit Assessment and Portfolio Management training. You will develop a wide range of skills enabling you to step into a client management position.

We're flexible on location, therefore, we'll match you to the best opportunity available in a location suited to you.

Ō Pūkenga | About You

Our Agribusiness Graduates tend to have studied an Agricultural focused degree or have a strong understanding of the Agricultural industry through their family. We're looking for diverse talent that is representative of our customers and will help us transform banking to enable a high achieving New Zealand.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Ideally you will have an agricultural background and an appropriate degree in agri commerce/ agri science/ business finance or similar.
  • Excellent relationship building skills and the ability to relate well to others
  • A customer focused, winning attitude
  • Resilience and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
  • Māori cultural capability is also highly beneficial

You must also be:

  • An NZ/ AUS resident or citizen
  • Available for our assessment centre or interview (date to be confirmed)
  • Available to start a full-time role in February 2022

At the moment I provide support on a commercial set alongside the partner and SA. My responsibilities include: - Writing Credit - answering customer requests - Managing the portfolios risk profile.
