Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
Finished your degree or in your final year? Navigating the daunting task of securing your first job can be tricky so we've done our best to keep this as simple as possible.
Do you want to help New Zealand's Agricultural and Horticultural industries to thrive? Our Graduate programme will offer you the opportunity to become part of a business which has a proven track record of turning passionate graduates into outstanding Agribusiness banking professionals.
We're flexible on location, therefore, we'll match you to the best opportunity available in a location suited to you.
What does a day in the life of a Graduate look like?
No day is the same and this variety is what makes the role so exciting! Our graduates spend their time:
What should the candidate include in their application?
What skills or attributes will this person have in order to be successful?
We are looking to recruit graduates who are passionate about farming businesses and working with the people that run those businesses. Most of BNZ's past agribusiness graduates have 'farming in their DNA', either by growing up on farms or through having studied Agribusiness or Agri Commerce (or other related business disciplines) at University.
If you are keen to learn and interested in working with people and believe in supporting your local communities, whānau, hāpu and iwi we would love to hear from you. We're looking for students from a wide range of degrees who can bring their unique te ao Māori to the forefront.
As a 'people person' with a positive attitude and excellent relationship building skills, you will be able to relate well to others. You will also need to show resilience, be willing to learn and roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
What's the most exciting thing about this opportunity?
As a Graduate, you'll be matched with BNZ's best Agribusiness banking mentors in an on-the-job training programme which is supplemented by specific relationship management, credit assessment and portfolio management training. You will develop a wide range of skills enabling you to step into a client management or customer support position at the end of the graduate programme.
Maintaining and analyzing mainframe code
At the moment I provide support on a commercial set alongside the partner and SA. My responsibilities include: - Writing Credit - answering customer requests - Managing the portfolios risk profile.
Just started a new role so not fully across this. Quite admin heavy, I would prefer to be doing more analysis work but I understand this is a stepping stone.
