Mō te Tūranga | About the Roles
When you join BNZ as a Technology Graduate in 2023, you'll have the opportunity to trial several of our domains on a rotation, and as part of this, you'll experience an array of technologies and ways of working. In year two, you'll 'un-graduate' and we'll find you a home team in one of our great domains across Technology.
As part of the application process, you'll be asked to select your preferred area of interest from the options below. Whilst your preference isn't guaranteed, we're pretty sure you'll love them all!
In short, Mainframe keeps our bank running! You'll gain highly sought-after experience with this technology (used by banks globally) and will rotate across our Cards and Payments, and Transactions & Investments domains.
For the server, host, and back-end enthusiasts. Gain exposure to globally recognised technologies like Informatica, AWS, Azure, Kafka, MuleSoft, & PEGA. You'll rotate across domains like Data & Analytics, Financial Crime, Cards & Payments and Engineering.
More of a front-end, full-stack, tester-y kind of person? This one's for you. You could be working on our test automation suite of tools, full stack development, web / mobile development and cloud technologies in domains such as Financial Crime, Customer Onboarding, Online Channels and Lending.
Consider yourself a cyber security aficionado? Join the cyber domain and rotate across a selection of seven different teams like Cyber Defence, Information Protection, and Application/Cloud Security.

Maintaining and analyzing mainframe code
At the moment I provide support on a commercial set alongside the partner and SA. My responsibilities include: - Writing Credit - answering customer requests - Managing the portfolios risk profile.
Just started a new role so not fully across this. Quite admin heavy, I would prefer to be doing more analysis work but I understand this is a stepping stone.
