Our team
The Talent Acquisition team work together to fill roles and pipeline Talent for Datacom offices across New Zealand and Australia. We have team members across the board with specialisations across different technologies and skill sets. We're dedicated to proactively sourcing and seeking out the best talent to deliver our services.
About the Role:
We're looking for a junior to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract in our Wynyard Quarter office (Auckland). You'll work roles end to end, including taking job briefs, screening, interview scheduling and making offers. Plus, assist with any admin and coordination duties to support the Talent Acquisition function. The roles will be spread across New Zealand, and you'll also be prepared to support Australia, if required. This is a varied role where you're encouraged to use your initiative and champion new ways to tackle the challenges in our market.
What you'll bring
You'll be a team player with a professional attitude. We are looking for someone driven and self-starting, who is comfortable to build rapport with our hiring teams and develop further ownership. We are working on a bunch of exciting initiatives that we'd love this person to support and feed-in ideas so if you love working with people and sharing your innovative ideas, this is a great role for you!
We'll provide training on our tools and IT knowledge so you're up-to-speed and can hit the ground running in no time! Ideally you have recently completed a degree and looking for a role within recruitment or working with people. Any degree is fine, so long as you're keen to own a role like this!
We're after an up-beat, positive person who has a strong people/customer focus - no task is too small! You'll have the ability to adapt and work in a flexible, collaborative, and high-pressure environment. You'll love a challenge that allows you to think strategically outside the box, but also enjoy running an end-to-end process that ensures you deliver and prove the promise.

I take phone calls to help people with their IT environment.
My day-to-day responsibilities always allow me to learn new things while completing my tasks and supporting my team members.
My day to day work consists of front end software development and participating in sprint ceremonies such as retros, planning, refinements, and standups. I collaborate with the other developers on my team, and work back and forth with testers to fix bugs and ensure our work is up to standard.
