Who are we?

If you havenโ€™t heard of us, then we guarantee youโ€™ve heard of our brands. Diageo Australia is the countryโ€™s leading spirits producer with an enviable portfolio of brands including Australiaโ€™s iconic Bundaberg Rum; global giants such as Johnnie Walker, Gordonโ€™s Gin, Baileys, Smirnoff and Captain Morgan; and our premium Reserve brands such as Tanqueray, Aviation Gin and Don Julio. Cocktail culture is thriving across Australia and our industry is vibrant, fast-paced and trend-leading.

Our Australian head office including an on-site bar is located in North Sydney and we also have a large manufacturing site located in Sydneyโ€™s west where our manufacturing, planning and distribution teams operate. Finally, we have a team of passionate and dedicated people at our Bundaberg Distillery in Queensland including our award-winning visitor experience, and a sales force located across the country in our major capitals and regional areas.

What does our Commercial Graduate Program include?

Are you ready to take your career global? Does the vibrancy, pace and excitement of the spirits industry sound like something you could be passionate about? If yes, these questions, then weโ€™d love to have you in our 2025 Graduate Program! Our global graduate program is known as industry-leading, and weโ€™re on the quest to find the generation of global talent to lead our business to even more incredible performance!

Joining our Commercial (Sales) Graduate Program is the opportunity of a lifetime to work with Industry leaders across a 2-year rotational program. Our Commercial Graduates will work with some of Australiaโ€™s most loved and celebrated brands while gaining exposure to our largest retailers and building the foundations for a successful career. The Commercial Program will stretch your thinking and build skills in strategy, account management and relationship building, category and insights and sales operations while working on cross-functional projects focused on delivering strategic projects to impact our performance and revenue.

Youโ€™ll be immersed in the sales process from the beginning. Youโ€™ll spend time building relationships with Diageo partners and working with customers to improve sales. Youโ€™ll be responsible for ensuring our brands are successfully promoted, readily available and well-presented to anyone who wants to buy them.

Over the two-year rotation programme, youโ€™ll have an opportunity to excel in areas across our Commercial Sales teams such as Field Sales, Account Management, Category Insights, Shopper and Customer Activation, Innovation and Digital Commerce. Our program is designed to take you where you want to go โ€“ with the opportunity to choose your final rotation to suit your career aspirations! Youโ€™ll discover everything you need to know about our brands, our competitors, the market and our customers.

Throughout the program, youโ€™ll have a combination of formal training with a global leadership curriculum, mentoring and coaching from respected colleagues and, most importantly, real-world, on-the-job experience. From the beginning, youโ€™ll be working on projects that will develop and improve your skill set. Youโ€™ll be able to make a real contribution to the business while building a global network of relationships that will support your career, both now and long into the future.

What is the Diageo culture like?

Are you prepared to take risks in the pursuit of greatness?  Do you hold yourself to the highest standards with real accountability for results?  Would you treat the business as if it is truly your own โ€“ because you want your legacy to be worthy of that of our founders? Then, letโ€™s talk!

We are an organisation that creates products that are part of celebrations, and our culture reflects this.  We work flexibly to ensure that you can fit work around your life commitments โ€“ this may be a different location and/or flexible hours.  We are a future-focused organisation, that is constantly wanting to perform better and to continue our growth.

What is our commitment to inclusion and diversity?

Diageo is committed to building a workplace culture that values inclusion and diversity. We actively promote the employment of people with disabilities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, LGBTI and other diversity groups.

Diageo encourages applications from people with disabilities and will provide reasonable adjustments in our recruitment processes and the workplace. If you need an adjustment in the recruitment process, please let us know when submitting your application and we will tailor our process where practical.
