Management at Fonterra

Overall very good, approachable and good at giving feedback and recognition. As a large corporate, there are many layers and levels of accessibility to managers, and communication can be a challenge when coordinating several parts of the business

I have had a good manager and also a manger that seemed too busty for me. There are many people within fonterra that would happily act as a mentor. This is not of concern.

Most managers are incredible to work with and support as really well across all aspects. They are great at providing feedback.

The manager of the graduate programme is great at organisational skills but needs work on interpersonal skills. Our programme schedule is complex and has run with little flaws, and she has organised many great opportunities for us. However, when issues arise or are discussed, she takes it personally, plays the victim regardless of the situation, and is very good at making us look like the bad guys. Expectations of us are sometimes unclear. She only contacts us to tell us off for something or deliver bad news.

Our managers are accessible and approachable although often busy. They give adequate feedback and praise/recognition.

Most are pretty good and open about there work and helping people out. However, as with any large company, there are a few with their down sides, whether it be distancy from their team or micromanagement with no sense of what it takes to complete a task. this means a lot of sites and teams are good places to work, but some or not so great.

The managers are good however some are really busy and hard to get a hold of if you're not in the same office as them. I had a one on one catch up for 30mins weekly with my manager and more as needed but looking back I should have booked in more earlier on. My manager was quite busy so I got most of my jobs off my teammates.

Managers are generally good and easy to access. Most like to keep the meetings informal/casual conversation. Good R&R

Good mentors', good management.

Our program manager does a good job at keeping structure to program and it has flowed fairly seamlessly. All in all, has done a good job. I feel communication can be improved, with messages sometimes being interpreted in the wrong way. Both sides are responsible for this. Managers have a strong focus on our development which is good.

Very approachable and easy to contact - will follow up on us too. Personally I think the manager is stretched too thin and at times is busy

Manager is accessible. Very good at performance feedback, praise, and recognition. Room for improvement around lenience and strictness on unimportant matters. Pick your battles and hills to die on. Take too steps back and consider the situation outside the perspective of your job

I have a great manager, we have a fortnightly catch-up to discuss anything related to above points. Also recognize anyone in our team during our team's Monday review

Satisfied with my manager - some teams are more involved with their own managers than others - depends on the size of your team, mine had less involvement than I thought which was weird to me at first.

My direct manager is incredible

I am satisfied with my current team manager and grad manager. My manager has weekly catch ups with me, as well as being easily accessible through message. There is very open honest conversation and my work is acknowledged. My grad manager is very accessible, we can easily have a chat if there is anything going on, including giving advice.

There are some amazing female leaders and most of the managers are passionate to help grow the grads

I have had pretty good and understanding managers with a decent amount of support despite the lack of work sometimes.
