We are looking for someone who wants to develop their technical engineering and compliance skills alongside an expert team who are passionate about providing quality support and assistance to our customers on the 3 waters and transportation connections process.
As a team player, you will work alongside various business units in Council and external stakeholders to coordinate and ensure new vehicle crossings and 3 waters connections are compliant. This includes inspecting connection and crossing sites under construction for compliance and safety.
You will work proactively with builders and developers to ensure safe and appropriate connections into the existing transport and 3 waters infrastructure and will ensure that Traffic Management is in place to ensure minimal disruption for all activities in the road corridor.
This role would suit someone who has a Diploma in Engineering (or equivalent experience) and a willingness grow and develop their technical skills. Ideally you will have a working knowledge around the technical standards for design and construction of transport and 3 waters infrastructure, and an understanding of traffic engineering principles and Regional Infrastructure Technical Specifications (RITS).

As a Graduate Building Inspector, currently I will be going to sites with senior inspections in my team and do inspections
processing resource consents
Checking of plans if they comply to the building code.
