2024/25 KiwiRail Summer Internship Programme - Corporate opportunities are now live!

Internship opportunities in our corporate offices:

Digital Engineering (Software Engineering, Computer Science)

• Auckland or Wellington

Asset Management (Commerce, Economics, Mathematics)

• Wellington

Cybersecurity (Computer science, Cybersecurity)

• Wellington

Property (Property)

• Auckland & Wellington

Customer Delivery 

• Auckland

Our innovative internship programme offers:

• 10-12-weeks paid, real life work experience
• An assigned buddy to job shadow and go-to for any questions
• A realistic practical preview of employment opportunities within KiwiRail
• Combination of Health & Safety and Personal Development training
• An opportunity to up-skill by gaining practical on-the-job training
• Opportunities to network and build relationships in KiwiRail

What you will need:

• Be available from November 2024 – February 2025
• Completed at least one year of studies and are working towards a relevant degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or Property
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively
• A curious, practical, and innovative mindset
• Must be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident
