This is an extremely exciting time for Event Health Services as we see the return of some much-awaited events across Aotearoa. Our team is actively growing to not only meet upcoming demand but also the needs of our customers and workforce.
The Event Operations Support Officer's (EOSO) role is to support and enable the effective delivery of Event Health Services within the Waikato Region. The EOSO attends events in the capacity of an event medic (approx. 70% of role), with responsibility for resourcing events within the district, supporting the development and delivery of operational plans for major events, attending local stakeholder meetings, and proactively growing the capacity and capability of the volunteer and casual Event Medic workforce.
As the sole EOSO within Waikato you will play a key role in helping us develop and deliver our Central West District business level strategy. You will have the support of a fantastic team, with a direct reporting line to the Event Operations Manager in Central Region, a close working relationship with our Event Consultants, and close working relationships with our national team of EOSO's.
Whilst a NZ pre-hospital qualification is preferred, we are open to all applicants nationally and internationally that have relevant health or event experience. We will support you with gaining a NZ pre-hospital qualification and relocation contribution to live anywhere within the Waikato.

This position will cover hours between Monday to Sunday as needed for the role, with a requirement to be available over a larger proportion of weekends due to the nature of the events industry.
