Stats NZ is very flexible when it comes to our hours. We can start at whatever time and the length of our lunch break is up to us. All that Stats NZ asks of us is to get our 7.5 hours in each day. It allows me for example who travels to Wellington by train for an hour to leave early and do a couple of hours at home.

Work hours are very good, you need to spend a min of 7.5 hours a day at work. So there is some flexibility to when you start, and when you finish. So those with families and other responsibilities are able to work that out to what best suits them and their situation.
Graduate, Wellington - 24 Feb 2020
Flexible working arrangements - you can work your hours anytime between 6-6.
Midlevel, Auckland - 10 Feb 2020
37.5-hour weeks - very flexible. As long as we complete an average of 37.5 hours per week over a 4-6-week period, and if we work between 10am-2pm (with a lunch break in between). then we're fine.

Very flexible. If I need to work on the weekend then that time comes out of my week.
