About WSP
WSP is a world-leading design, engineering and environmental consultancy. We are local experts with more than 150 years of experience in Aotearoa New Zealand and a global network of more than 50,000 experts. In New Zealand alone, we have 40 offices – from Whangarei to Invercargill (and everywhere in-between).
In every region where we operate, our local leaders guide the mission, drive the vision, and uphold our collective beliefs to connect to and support the local community. Having strong roots locally means there is pride and responsibility in delivering high quality projects and giving back to our communities.
We are built on the strength of our people, creating innovative solutions to the challenges the future will bring. As such, we value supporting the development of our rangatahi youth in engineering, surveying, and other professional disciplines in a work-based setting.
The Cadetship
Our Cadet roles are ideally suited to someone either finishing their school studies or with workforce experience wanting to retrain, who is practically minded, interested in engineering or surveying, and has a get-the-job-done approach.
The successful candidates will work full-time in a permanent role and study part-time towards a New Zealand Diploma in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Technology, or Legal Studies/Conveyancing as part of our Cadetship Programme. A Cadet role will lead into a career as a Technician with multiple pathways to choose from, including draughting, Revit, surveying, contract management, property consultancy and more.
