The role
At Xero, our HR team is known as People Experience (PX), as providing an amazing experience for our people is at the heart of what we do. As we continue to grow at a rapid pace at Xero, we need to ensure the PX support we provide to the business remains #human and world-class but is also scalable.
In the role of PX Graduate you will be involved in providing advice and administrative support, and assisting the PX team in the way we transform our systems, tools and processes to continue to help PX succeed as we scale for growth globally.
What we’d like to see from you
Ideally, you’ll:
- Have an appropriate HR qualifications
- Proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building, including the ability to communicate with people, both in writing and in person.
- Able to exercise effective judgment, sensitivity, creativity to changing needs and situations.

The work environment is really friendly and welcoming, which makes it easy to feel comfortable to come in as a beginner and learn without being judged.
The work-life balance is really good and encouraged, which takes the stress off work in general.
It's a great place to start my career because there are a lot of opportunities for growth.
The company culture is very inclusive, warm, friendly, and human-oriented.
The company is really flexible with work hours and is happy for you to work remotely whenever.
Cons
Pay is lower than I would like.
Expectations can be unclear.
Sometimes have to take meetings at inconvenient times due to time zones.
Loads of meetings, sometimes not very useful meetings either.
Because it is a global company, sometimes we have meetings with people around the world. The timezone difference can be tiring, but it is not happening often.
