7.3
7.3 rating for Recruitment, based on 29 reviews
Please describe the interview process and assessments.
Interview and assessments were pretty normal and held to a high standard.
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Dec 2024
The interview process was relatively easy. It was more focused on personality and fit within the company as opposed to accounting skills as they stated they were willing to train the right person. No assessments were conducted in my interview.
Graduate, Nelson - 09 Nov 2024
It was like a litmus test to see if I would fit in with the work culture and what I'd be like in the future when dealing with clients. There was an aptitude test that happened before the interview process also.
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Nov 2024
My only complaint was after first applying for the job, the process of arranging interview times, and start date took quite a long time. However interview was relaxed, not uncomfortable at all. Training and initiation are great.
Graduate, Wellington - 31 Oct 2023
Process was really good for me. Communication with Findex was really good.
Graduate, Dunedin - 31 Oct 2023
Hiring went smoothly
Graduate, Auckland - 30 Oct 2023
A bit random, was given no set starting date, no clue on how my contract works, and got in touch with absolutely no one as soon as I started about how I'm doing until 4 months after I signed up.
Graduate, Wellington - 17 Oct 2023
The interview process itself was grand, the interactions with HR and getting my contract sorted took longer than expected. Was given wrong contract etc
Graduate, Hastings - 16 Oct 2023
It was a long process. Delayed and lack of response from HR.
Graduate, Hamilton - 25 Feb 2020
It has changed dramatically since I did it
Midlevel, Nelson - 25 Feb 2020
I've heard varied things from some people regarding the process. Being out of town I was able to do a Skype interview. Most do psychometric testing, some people have been asked questions on company financial statements (basic). Most were interviewed by two different people in the same room.
Midlevel, Nelson - 24 Feb 2020
I just had one interview and had to complete one assessment online. Online assessment did not really apply to NZ as there were questions about miles and hectares etc.
Graduate, Dunedin - 24 Feb 2020
Assessment Centre and Interview - both were pleasant enough experiences
Graduate, Alexandra - 24 Feb 2020
No pressure, comfortable environment
Graduate, Dunedin - 24 Feb 2020
Getting 7 different referees seemed like too much. Seemed like a long drawn out process

Straightforward and prompt communications
Graduate, Invercargill - 17 Feb 2020
Initially met the HR person at the time during a brief discussion at one of the networking events. After that, there was one interview with the two Auckland Audit partners and then once graduated I started.

Absolutely hopeless HR in head office, got offered the job in October - Didnt hear anything / get my contract till about a month before I started even with me calling and emailing trying to get in contact to figure out simple things like actual start dates as was traveling and had no idea when to book a return ticket. Had two other friends offered jobs by Crowe Horwath but found it so unprofessional that they couldnt get in contact they rejected the offer and got jobs in other Firms. Very similar experience to others I have talked to since joining. All most took another Job I was offered after accepting offer to work at Findex after not hearing anything but start date would have mucked up my Travel.
