What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I feel it's pretty standard for a graduate, but for the work we do I do think it should increase on a yearly basis. Some other less qualified can earn more.
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Dec 2024
both of these are extremely lacklustre. My pay is less than some jobs that require no degree such as supermarket work and my seniors do not earn much more than I. I have not been told about any bonuses available to us, however when we are in our busy season we can choose to work extra hours not for pay, but to be accumulated as leave to use.
Graduate, Nelson - 09 Nov 2024
I'm a bit concerned that we won't even get inflationary pay rate increases and that if I started in one of the bigger cities, I'd immediately be on a higher rate.
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Nov 2024
Pay rates low for this type of role
Graduate, Wellington - 31 Oct 2023
Pay is low with the price of living. Also, the bonuses system is hard to follow. Cannot find the form for Bonus for bringing in new client.
Graduate, Dunedin - 31 Oct 2023
Fits perfectly
Graduate, Wellington - 17 Oct 2023
Happy overall, but know other grads on differing amounts. Should be a set amount across the board.
Graduate, Hastings - 16 Oct 2023
starting pay is rather low
Graduate, Hamilton - 25 Feb 2020
unattainable to get the bonuses in reality. pay rises come from hitting productivity which is doable but is difficult in some roles
Midlevel, Nelson - 25 Feb 2020
Compared to big 4 (lower level) it's fine. Compared to a small/medium accounting firm, leaves a lot to be desired. Bonuses next to not obtainable. Be willing to sacrifice pay in order for good training and a recognised name if you want to work here.
Midlevel, Nelson - 24 Feb 2020
Our pay is in line with other graduates at other companies. I don't however think the bonuses are as good at findex as other companies as theirs are 100% discretionary whereas ours are based on performance and the expected performance is quite high and hard to achieve as a graduate.
Graduate, Dunedin - 24 Feb 2020
Could be better.
Graduate, Alexandra - 24 Feb 2020
The graduate starting salary is quite low but it gives an incentive to work harder to get the pay increases each year. I have not been given a bonus yet
Graduate, Invercargill - 20 Feb 2020
Pay/bonuses are what is expected for the area and the role level
Graduate, Invercargill - 17 Feb 2020
My thoughts are that these are fairly competitive, however, a more frequent process would be much more ideal. Something to remain relevant for more parts of the year, etc. Also consideration of responsibilities and self growth is appreciated.
Midlevel, Auckland - 17 Feb 2020
Hard to get in first couple of years
Graduate, Dunedin - 14 Feb 2020
Unsure what are the bonuses for the company and pay is low
Graduate, Dunedin - 14 Feb 2020
Happy to receive a bonus if I deserve one
Graduate, Auckland - 14 Feb 2020
The pay is quite low especially when considering the living costs in Auckland
Graduate, Auckland - 14 Feb 2020
Reasonable but lower than Big 4 grad pay
Midlevel, Auckland - 14 Feb 2020
What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
health insurance is covered
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Dec 2024
the best benefit is private health insurance with southern cross, it is very extensive and something that would make me reconsider leaving the company. Other than this the only benefits are minor
Graduate, Nelson - 09 Nov 2024
Interesting, free financial advice
Graduate, Hastings - 09 Nov 2024
Health Insurance is a really good perk we get with Southern Cross.
Graduate, Dunedin - 31 Oct 2023
Free health insurance benefit is excellent.
Graduate, Wellington - 31 Oct 2023
Health insurance through Southern Cross is provided to us. After hours parking in the client/partners carpark which is handy in weekends when want to go to town but don't want to pay for parking.
Graduate, Dunedin - 19 Oct 2023
Student leave perk
Graduate, Wellington - 17 Oct 2023
Free medical insurance
Graduate, Hamilton - 25 Feb 2020
Free health insurance, monthly drinks, two functions a year, merch store, discounts store
Midlevel, Nelson - 25 Feb 2020
End of Month drinks is nice, mid year and end of year functions are pretty cool. Free/Heavily subsidised health insurance is a win. Will depend on your office for what morning tea/afternoon tea is provided each day. It's pretty good in Nelson!
Midlevel, Nelson - 24 Feb 2020
Friday drinks - Free medical insurance - A rewards store where you can buy discounted giftcards - A merchandise store where you can get Findex branded items
Graduate, Dunedin - 24 Feb 2020
Friday night drinks
Graduate, Alexandra - 24 Feb 2020
The team activities we get to do which are either free or subsidised depending on the cost of the activity. Getting to do something with the team for e.g. bowling and dinner out is a nice way to get to know everyone more and is good team bonding
Graduate, Invercargill - 20 Feb 2020
