How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
work is very flexible with my hours, as long as I hit my 40 units and let my manager ahead of time I can go to appointments and alter my start and finish team.

Hours are not flexible in the sense we are expected to work 40 hours a week without change and it has never been brought up that we could consider less hours for less pay etc. However when we work is somewhat flexible. Everyone above our level is able to work whenever suits them as long as they complete their work and hours. For graduates there is a little flexible in the sense you can start an hour earlier and finish an hour earlier which I appreciate, however we do not have the same flexibility as others as the graduate manager does not want us working odd hours.

Very flexible, they allow for life to happen. Can work from home, if need be. Can start early and finish early or late. Can make up time later if need be.

Workplace has been very flexible and understanding about hours- unfortunately I have not been able to work as many hours as I would like due to my own conflicting schedule (childcare etc). Perhaps more support for working from home more regularly would help with this.

I think that the ability to work flexibly from home and the productivity percentage in timesheets allows for a fairly flexible week.

They are very flexible when it comes to work hours like if you have an appointment you can go to that as long as make up the hours for the week that are required.

A bit difficult, considering I'm an intern also needing to complete my university studies, I am expected to be in the office quite a bit. And given no time to study at all during working hours.
Graduate, Wellington - 17 Oct 2023
Work hours are flexible
Graduate, Hamilton - 25 Feb 2020
Varies office to office but generally in your first year as you're learning it's a bit more limited. Thereafter quite flexible. In saying that, if you have something on eg sports tourney they can be very flexible.
Midlevel, Nelson - 25 Feb 2020
Fairly flexible hours, you will not find yourself (at least in my office) slaving 50-60 hours like you might do in a big 4 firm.

My company never expects us to work overtime unless we are super busy but we haven't experienced that so far since we were graduates during busy season. Our company does not have flexible hours. We work between the hours of 8-5pm

Here is Alexandra very flexible - in Invercargill not so much but can speak to manager about this
Graduate, Alexandra - 24 Feb 2020
I work 40 hours per week and my manager is flexible to an extent of when those hours get done. E.g. can come in early and leave early etc which I really like
Graduate, Invercargill - 20 Feb 2020
Quite flexible - as long as you work your 40 hours a week, get your jobs done on time, and put in the extra work if or when required
Graduate, Invercargill - 17 Feb 2020
Not flexible as such. Just lenient in terms of start and end times, and not too much overtime, even during busy season.
Midlevel, Auckland - 17 Feb 2020
